“Cerro da Borrega” is located in the São Teotónio Civil Parish, in the heart of Odemira County, very close to Zambujeira do Mar and near Odeceixe, making the Vicentine Coast and South-West Alentejo one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Portugal. The beaches continue to be one of the largest attractions due to their natural beauty and diversity of fauna and flora. However, there are many other points of interest along this coastal territory which integrates the Nature Reserve of the South-West Alentejo and Vicentine Coast. The symbiosis between the mountains, river and sea bear a great influence on the gastronomic delights of the region. Throughout the year, you can find various grilled fresh fish dishes on a charcoal barbecue, a variety of seafood, traditional Alentejo delicacies such as black pork, smoked sausages and cheese. Another unforgettable product is the famous alcoholic drink “Aguardente de Medronho” or Arbutus-berry Firewater.

The historic heritage is rich and diversified. You can visit museum sites, castles, forts or fortresses overlooking the sea. Far away from mass tourism and the busy city life, this region is unique and it can easily be reached in just a couple of hours from any of the European airports. Lisbon and Faro airports are within relatively close distance to “Cerro da Borrega”. A memorable landmark destination to look back on. Reconnect with your true self and with those you love. Get a fresh start! Nature awaits you with its almost intact landscapes, traditions, comfort and tranquillity. The mild climate and friendly people of the region, together with all the natural beauty, make this destination a special place as well as one of the most desirable.
